Job Description:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for providing detailed qualitative analysis utilizing industry reports and internal sales/guarantee data in order to create business strategies for the commercial business. They will conduct a competitive market analysis of all commercial roofing products. Develop a tracking tool to provide detailed business analysis outlining issues, gaps, and opportunities to product management. Develop and monitor P&L reporting and pricing analysis, manage/track the progress of NPD system updates/inputs/process across the Commercial Product Marketing team.

Essentials Duties:

40% - Strategic Support
  • Strategize with individual Product Managers to determine product need gaps and identify potential projects
  • Identify required resources, assess timeline, and develop road maps
  • Utilize tableau to provide KPI metrics and segmentation of all commercial products
  • Provide financial and qualitative data to support key business and technical decisions on a project
  • Liaison between all market research companies such as Principia/Freedonia


30% - Reporting and Analysis
  • Utilize TM1 to report-out Commercial Marketing financials on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Create and maintain BOM analysis and provide variance analysis to product managers
  • Analyze new product revenue/operating income compared to legacy product lines for SKU rationalization
  • Create and maintain competitive tracking tool for all commercial categories
  • Support the creation or revision of various PowerPoint presentations whether intended for an external or internal audience


15% - NPD System Support
  • Manage and document NPD system updates from inception to launch; arrange and set a cadence for cross-functional team meetings
  • Provide cost, pricing and competitive/market analysis on proposed NPD projects
  • Identifies and addresses issues and risks on NPD projects


15% - Ad Hoc Product Marketing Support
  • Provide product marketing support activities as required by management
  • Coordinate with marketing services/events on tradeshow preparation and execution of displays/content/signage
  • Monitor and track fulfillment needs and inventories
  • Monitor and track competitive web activities/programs/documents to determine gaps and identify new document needs.

Requirements:
  • MBA is preferred, Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management or a similar field is required
  • 5+ experience business analytics required, preferably in the building products/manufacturing space
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Workfront, Trello, Tableau, PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office applications
  • TM1 experience and roofing industry background.
  • Trained in working in agile environments
  • Need to be proficient with G Suite Or Microsoft Office suite
