    We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Patient Care TechEmergency Room to join the Mountainside Team!

    What You'll Do

    The Patient Care Technician provide direct patient care under the direction of the RN professional to all assigned patients and maintains a safe patient area. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care as a team member in order to achieve established outcomes.

    The successful candidate will be able to:

    Assists in the Triage admission, transfer and discharge of patients

    Reports all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences of an urgent nature as they develop

    Respond to emergency situations

    Assist with patient transport and transfer

    Collect, report, and document clinical data

    Take vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens

    Adhering to safety and risk management standards

    Assist with clerical and communication tasks to support patient care

    Perform any and all other duties assigned

    What You'll Bring

    A high school diploma or GED Minimum one (1) year of experience as an Emergency Department technician Licensure: EMT, EMT-P certification preferred, or equivalent training or hospital experience required Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Certified Nursing Assistant and/or nursing student enrolled in a Nursing program who has successfully completed theoretical and clinical practical in fundamentals of nursing in nursing school preferred.
