DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS-FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT CENTER

MVP SFM, LLC-APEX SPORTS AND EVENTS

LOCATION: Hillsborough, NJ

DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER

STATUS: FULL-TIME (EXEMPT)

MVP SFM, LLC (\"MVP\") is accepting applications for the position of Director of Operations-Family Entertainment Center at Apex Sports and Events located in Hillsborough Township, NJ.

MVP SFM, LLC (\"MVP\") includes approximately 200,000 sq. ft of covered indoor space and outdoor turf fields. The indoor space will be comprised of a 100,000 sq. ft hard structure featuring courts, climbing, FEC, F&B, Ninja Training. MVP SFM, LLC also includes two domes, one featuring a full-size indoor turf field and the other featuring batting cages and sports performance training.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Operations-Family Entertainment Center will be responsible for the management of facility operations including but not limited to Maintenance, Housekeeping, Retail, Food & Beverage, Event Management, Front Desk Administration and Reporting, and a robust Family Entertainment Center. The Director of Operations-Family Entertainment Center will also work closely with other departments in hiring, training, and staff scheduling.

PRE-OPENING DUTIES:

The Director of Operations-Family Entertainment Center is responsible for the oversight and implementation of all tasks related to operations development. These responsibilities include:

* Participating in planning/strategic meetings
* Participating in the acquisition & training of staff
* Developing/integrating facility management software
* Developing operational Key Performance Indicator Reports (KPI)
* Helping with the implementation of a marketing plan/strategy
* Developing the operational schedule
* Overseeing all pre-grand opening events (hardhat tours, etc.)
* Overseeing all tasks related to grand opening events

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

* Hiring and training facility team
* Primary contact for all events after they have been contracted
* Event development and sales in-house and co-partnerships
* Assisting with sponsorship sales, as needed
* Serving as Manager-on-Duty (\"MOD\") during events
* All other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* A bachelor's degree in recreation and sports management or related field and 3-5 years appropriate experience, required
* Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
* Must be a team player
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours)
* Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must be willing to obtain them within a specified period of time
* Prior responsibility in daily P&L management and budget oversight

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds' waist high
* May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
* Will be required to operate a computer
* Facility has intermittent noise
